Global Fund for Children Releases New Children’s Book, Faith
Maya Ajmera and her amazing organization, Global Fund for Children, have authored and published over twenty children’s books. I just received a copy of their latest release, Faith, and I must share it with you. Faith explores world religions through themes of hope, worship, and peace while highlighting the practices that make each faith unique. It is an incredible collection of colorful photographs and compelling text; captured in this book are a young Buddhist meditating in a monastery in Burma, a Muslim family breaking fast during Ramadan in the United Kingdom, a Hindu boy preparing for a ceremony by wearing a songket udeng headdress, and many other scenes from over thirty countries.
I believe Faith’s release is timely, given the unrest and faith-based conflicts that are currently taking place internationally. Perhaps giving this book to a child you know (your children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren or students) will help increase understanding and cooperation. Read more about Faith or purchase the book.
